Hello, and welcome to my web site! I sew custom and reproduction fashion doll outfits for Barbie® doll and Gene™ doll. Whenever possible, I use actual vintage fabrics for my Barbie® doll reproductions! Many of my reproduction patterns are even copied directly from original outfits!

I started sewing when I was just 7 years old for my very own Ginny® doll, under the patient scrutiny of my Grandmother. By the time I was 10, I was sewing some of my own clothes! I loved sewing so much that I made a life-long career as a professional seamstress. I worked with "Friends Of The Rag", a design group in Seattle. Some of our fashions were in the Henry Art Gallery and the Cornish School of Art. I was also the tailor for several department stores, including Mervyn's in San Francisco and Stein Mart in Richmond. And I was a seamstress for Bradley Studio, here in New Mexico. While there, I sewed for some major motion pictures, including "Wyatt Earp" and "Speechless". In the early 1990's, I began to actively collect Vintage and Mod Barbie® dolls. I still had my childhood dolls, but I wanted more! I also wanted some of those elusive and rare outfits, like Gay Parisienne®, so I began sewing reproduction outfits. Eventually, I decided to leave the studio and concentrate on my custom and reproduction fashion doll outfits full-time!

Whenever possible, I use actual vintage fabrics for my doll outfits. Many of my reproduction patterns are copied directly from original outfits. Please note that due to the limited availability of certain items, accessories may occasionally vary from those pictured. Also, I am always looking to buy or trade for vintage dolls. Feel free to let me know which vintage fashions you'd like to see reproduced! Certain retired outfits may even become available again if I am able to locate more fabric.  If so, keep in mind that the price of such an outfit is subject to change from its original price depending upon the cost of the new fabric.

What Customers Are Saying

I love your work! The dresses are adorable. I love your fabric choices, and thanks for adding the purse; it was a sweet surprise. I'm already planning my next order. I check your site daily, but feel free to email me if you decide to make any more dresses in the Let's Dance pattern. I put that dress on my Brunette #4 and displayed it on my family room coffee table. I never cared for the material Mattel originally used, so I never purchased that vintage outfit. Your design is eye-catching. My husband even said, "Wow, that dress is very pretty!" (He supports my hobby, but doesn't share my passion.) Thanks so much! I'm sure you'll hear from me again very soon.

Hi Charlot, just wanted to show you and Sylvia how pleased I am with how the outfit looks on my Dark Brunette Low Color Sidepart AG. I've taken a few w/o flash and then some with flash to show the texture on the gown. It's like it was made just for her! I love Sylvia's stuff.
